“Having fun yet?” She splashed at him playfully, before narrowing her eyes. “Look, you have the upper hand here. From my knowledge, water and electricity don’t mix.” She dived under and grabbed at his legs, before swimming further upstream. She was still fully clothed, yet he was nearly naked. She had to admit though, he was pretty good looking. She pulled out her gun and shot at him, before slipping it away in her coat and diving back under. She swam a little further, constantly tempting Sephiroth toward her. She playfully splashed and smirked at him. He was making progress, at least. Even though it was rather slow. ”C’mon, I’m getting bored now~”
He glared at the splash, wiping the water from his face. “You little…” He dodged the bullet she shot, snarling and giving up on just wading. He took a deep breath before he sprung forward, diving under the water and swimming towards her. The crippling fear that Axel had of the water was starting to sink in and, after only a few seconds of being submerged, he couldn’t take it anymore. He came up, gasping for air and shaking so badly that it looked like he was having a seizure. He ran out of the water, tripping and falling on the bank. He stayed on all fours, heaving as he tried to get air to his lungs. He didn’t know why his fear of electricity hadn’t sunk through, and yet he was still as terrified of the water as a cat. Slowly, he stood up, beginning to wring out his hair as he went back for his clothes. “Fine. You win,” he spat, grabbing up his coat and beating the sand off. “But gimme my sword back at least…”
She laughed and swam to the bank, after the initial worry of him having some kind of fit blew over. She dived down and picked up the sword, and almost handed it to him. “You’re not gonna do some kind of move and literally stab me in the back?” She took a step back, so that he couldn’t reach for the sword. “I mean, considering my stomach still hurts like fuck… And you’re probably just gonna swagger off after this. Why should I give you back your precious plaything?” She smirked, and ran her hand over the sharp blade.
He sighed heavily, pushing his wet hair back. His body shuddered again, an after effect from being underwater, and he shook his head. “Just gimme my sword, okay? I won’t stab you. I’ll even get you a band-aid or somethin’ for your stomach… C’mon, I just wanna get outta here.” He hugged himself, a little ashamed for showing this type of fear over something as little as water. He didn’t remember why he was so scared of being underwater. He just was. “Please… Give it back.” Great. And now he sounded like a little kid.
“Awh little baby want his rattle back?” She laughed, and put the sword on the bank in front of him. She pulled herself up on the bank and checked her stomach. “Y’know, a band-aid isn’t gonna help. Look, it’s pretty fucking big. You wanna come to the house and get a change of clothes or something?” She softened her expression and started to take pity on him. She took his hand and lead him to her car, and put a blanket over his seat, and handed him another one. “Put that around you, and try and not get the seat too wet. I’ll get you home, give you a change of clothes, and then you can stay there for as long as you want.” She smiled at him and walked around the edge of the car and opened the door to the driver’s side, before winking at him.
“You arse!” She shouted, “I know you’re not an idiot. And also Axel, just because you have a new body, doesn’t mean you’ve stopped being pathetic.” She hopped down from the tree, on top of Sephiroth. She was sitting on his shoulders and smirking. She shoved more electricity into him, an extremely large amount. She jumped off and held him in a head lock, and kicked away his sword. She tightened her grip against him and pushed him forward, before taking the sword and running faster than she ever had before. She ran in a completely different direction; toward a deep river. She stopped near the bank, and checked behind her. There was some distance between them, just enough time to run… Or swim. She dropped the sword in the river and dived in after. She swam through the river at speed, being in the swimming team when she was younger. She noticed Sephiroth standing at the bank, weaponless and most probably trying to find his precious sword. She stopped, and dived under the water, she was almost hidden, considering it was so dark and murky. Now she just had to wait.
He wasn’t expecting her to jump out, and he dropped his sword in surprise. He couldn’t hold back the pained scream at the jolt of electricity, twitching and convulsing as he grabbed the tree for support. He gained his balance rather quickly, but there was a loud ringing in his ears and he couldn’t see in a straight line. He staggered after her, relying mostly on the sound of her feet hitting the ground. He heard her splash into water as soon as his sight began to slowly come back, leaving him on the bank of a river. He shook his head and grabbed his forehead, trying to find her. “You’re not playing fair,” he groaned, seeing a glint of metal that belonged to his sword. He shook his head again to get his sight to come back, although the ringing was still present in his ears. He kicked off his boots and shrugged out of his overcoat, finding that much more difficult than said due to all the straps. Grumbling, he was finally left in just his pants. He ran alongside the water to catch up, wading in to face her.
He didn’t register that she had all the weapons. Not to mention, electricity and water did not mix well together.

She was shocked at his superior reflexes, and was too stunned to notice the sword coming toward her. It hit her in the stomach, making a long and thin and hopefully not too deep cut there. She held her hands against her stomach, before she was knocked down. She spat out a mixture of blood and spit and coughed on the floor, before she was kicked again. She shot at him, and forced a ball of electricity into his body. She crawled backwards in these moments and surveyed her surroundings. There were trees nearby, and they were her only hope. She scrambled up and sprinted for the trees and began to climb the tallest of them. She hid in the leaves, her gun drawn and ready to fire. The cut on her stomach was bleeding quite badly, and staining through her clothes. “I immediately regret my decision to fight you.” She whispered, trying not to give away her hiding spot.
He couldn’t help but smirk as she fell, blocking the bullet with his sword again and letting out a barely noticeable wince at the shock. He laughed as she ran, slowly walking after her. He saw which tree she went in, but decided to play dumb. He idly walked amongst the tree, using his extensive sword to probe around in the branches while remaining on the ground. He tried to keep a straight face as he came to the tree he knew Electra was in, jutting his sword up more forcefully to find her amongst the leaves.
